Multi-Platinum Band Marianas Trench Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary of “Ever After”

Announce Sony’s 360 Reality Audio Release of Iconic Album

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO, ON – Multi-Platinum selling and JUNO award-winning Band Marianas Trench announced the 360 Reality Audio release of their iconic 2011 album Ever After.

The album’s new edition is an immersive listening experience that puts the listener right in the middle of the audio, giving one the feeling of being literally surrounded by sound and the breakout album really lends itself to the 360 Reality Audio experience with its lush orchestration and dynamic production. It is available on Amazon Music Unlimited, Deezer and TIDAL as of November 21 via 604 Records.

Ever After serves as a throwback to the era of albums, a time when music was more than a collection of songs on a playlist. It’s a grand pop-rock symphony album constructed around the fairytale of a heartless queen, an exiled king, and the stolen heart of his daughter, the princess Porcelain.

“The 10th anniversary of Ever After brings back a lot of memories and marks many key moments in the band’s history. It was the first time we headlined our own arena tours, and it was the first time we had both video and radio hits. During the touring of the album, we had the opportunity to play more than a hundred shows in America and overseas for the first time. With Ever After we saw our Canadian and international fan base grow. The music writing had developed, the band’s sound progressed, and our fans supported it passionately. It really showed us that the Trenchers were here to stay. It gave us the freedom to continue making the music we loved, and we are forever grateful for that,” said Marianas Trench bassist Mike Ayley.

With hits “Desperate Measures”, “Stutter” and “Fallout”, the double Platinum certified Ever After provided a soundtrack for the ages that launched the band into endless acclaim. Not only did Ever After shipping Gold in Canada the first week of release, it also earned the band multiple MuchMusic Video Awards, a JUNO Award, a CMRA award, 2 Indie Awards and several radio hits with Stutter peaking at #10 on the Canadian Hot AC Chart. Sony’s 360 Reality Audio Spatial Sound technology provides a listening experience like never before, lending itself exquisitely to Ever After’s lush orchestration and dynamic production.

Ever After was produced by vocalist-guitarist Josh Ramsay and recorded at his studio, The Umbrella Factory, in Richmond, BC. Guitarist Matt Webb, bassist Mike Ayley, drummer Ian Casselman, and Ramsay set out to stretch their imaginations, bringing to life a record with no breaks that represents one larger work of multiple linked ideas.

“We knew we wanted to do something special to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ever After’s release, and I'm pleased to say that we have a couple of great things coming to celebrate the album, and to give back to the fans who have been so supportive of both Marianas and 604. The album not only vaulted the band to a new level of success, but really changed 604 Records, as well. It ushered in an era of pop success for the label that we had not previously experienced. The band won a Group of the Year JUNO award off of the album, and it established Josh Ramsay as an A-list writer and producer. It also foreshadowed his incredible international success as co-writer and producer of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit Call Me Maybe”, said 604 Records President Jonathan Simkin.

604 Records will also celebrate ten years of Ever After with the release of an exclusive limited-edition merch bundle. The bundle includes a copy of the Ever After CD, a new themed t-shirt, an 18x24 hand signed poster of tour moments, and a set of band member toy patches. The bundle is available for purchase at https://604shop.com/collections/marianas-trench until quantities last.
